The Ninjato is the most common name for the sword that the ninja of feudal Japan are portrayed as having carried. The Ninjato is typically depicted as being a short sword, often portrayed as having a straight blade with a square guard. Suffering from a lack of excavated relics or surviving antiques the description relies on written testimony which contrasts it against the katana as 'shorter and straighter than usual' - most likely for the ease and convenience of stealth operations. Experts speculate the shorter blade made it easier for stabbing, as opposed to slicing. Fits most standard minifig hands.

In modern times it has become more of an emblem to signify rank, allegiance, squadron or area of expertise. The Pilum is a heavy javelin commonly used by Roman Legionaries in ancient times. Believed to be of alien origin the Power Blade is one of the deadliest melee weapons. Despite its smooth curves and supple edges a properly placed blow can be lethal to almost any living organism. Dual spurs allow the blade to cut through most armor and slice most targets in half. The sword in the hands of a skillful warrior can be fatal unless the enemy is equipped with enough stopping power.
