The inside of the curve is sharp, so that the user can draw or swing the blade against the base of the crop, catching it in the curve and slicing it at the same time. In Greek myths, the Sickle was used as a weapon by Cronus and Perseus, and most recently a bunch of zealotous kids wandering around in corn fields. Fits most standard minifig hands.

During the Middle Ages metal armor and chainmail protected against the blows of edged weapons such as swords and arrows. The Trident gets its name from the Latin three-teeth and was originally used by fishermen to skewer multiple fish at a time. Not unlike many other hunting untensils the Trident naturally found combat use as a military weapon. Hailed for its long reach and ability to trap other weapons between its prongs they were used fondly by gladiators to disarm opponents and deliver the final blow.
