Mega Bloks HALO collectable figures

Remember LEGO's collectible minifigs? This is Mega Bloks' answer to those.
A few thoughts:
* The active camo SPARTAN is nice, but it must be a bit disheartening for those who thought that the ones from the giveaway were exclusive. ;9
* Judging by the text on the side of the box, these look to be completely random!

Lastly, please don't post if all you plan on doing is complaining about MB's plastic quality and clutch. LEGO completely botched the U.S. distribution of their minifigures, and try to keep that in mind, please? Thanks.

I wouldn't want these if they were in a machine for 25 cents. Quality or not, they look like junk.

Agreed. The only thing that looks remotely good is the katana.

I didn't pick up one of those, but I did pick up a red Spartan with weapons pack.

For a mini's collector and die hard Halo fan these would be sweet. The weapons are nice, the Spartan I have is painted well and all, it's just not my preferred style of minfig. If these are for display purposes ... they'll make many Halo fans Very happy.
I'll stick with my SMs, I like being able to custom them and such ;)

MB sure is flaunting their Halo license. Of course then again, Lego flaunts their SW license. :P

Totally agreed. I can't even tell what one of them is and their energy sword looks uglier than what I can do by cutting plastic...

Didn't he ask not to post anything if all you're going to do is complain? I for one, and my son, also love the Mega Blok HALO sets and figures. It has more to do for our love of the HALO video games than it does for their building blocks. That being said, I have a question for Rybuger1 about the Active Camo Spartan. Did Mega Bloks actually give any away? I ordered several of the limited edition Spartans hoping to up my chance of getting one of the Active Camo ones. All I got were the steel ones. It has been a year since the give away and I haven't seen any being offered on ebay? Do you have any info regarding this?

He asked not to complain about the quality compared to Lego. Other than the name, there seems to be nothing appealing about the figures. The one weapon (katana) looks like it might be useful. It's be a whole different story if the helmets and armor were removable.
