With a forum that shows all the prototypes, People can comment about them, see if they would attract a big audience, and the forum members wouldSay what should be changed about them.

The problem with showing prototypes and concepts, is that your competition will try to get the upperhand on you and release that product before you. You never show your hand on poker until you play it.

And also even if you post concepts and prototypes, there is a great chance it won't even be made.

I'm sure there are a few who remember the glaive pic. :P

While the idea looks great from the outside, Omi's point makes sense. The term "prototype" gets thrown around too often also. When BrickForge shows off an item at a show, chances are it is very close to coming out. In the latest photos in the BrickWorld 2011 thread, ~Wakkomovies~ reports that those items will be making an appearance in July. I can't confirm this myself, but being he got the information from <v> directly, I'd say the only delays would be if the manufacture messes them up, shipping takes longer than expected, or if things get too chaotic to add them to the store right away. All 3 of those things have happened in the past.

There is no reason to show Prototypes, plain and simple, I hate it when some people show prototypes, then take forever (or never) to bring out the product in full production mode, I find it irritating to see something I cannot get in the quantities I want to get it in.
