Just wanted to say hello from Vancouver BC, but soon to be re-locating to Ottawa ONT. My main hobby is wargaming and have been painting lead and building scenery for aeons now. Decided recently to take a break and get into "toy" wargaming and the minifig is the PERFECT figure for my needs. Best part is I don't have to do any painting! {:D

The range of periods and customization options is pretty exciting as well. Well... that's me in a nutshell.

Welcome to the forums. If you are new to the customization scene, then you will be excited by all we have to offer. Actually, if you are "old" to the customization scene then you will be excited also ;9

Welcome! Hope you enjoy your visit and time around the Forge. There are a few guys here that are really into the wargaming possibilities that the minifigs offer!

Thanks all for the warm welcome. ;)

I'm looking forward to learning abit more about conversions and such, and yes I will indeed post pics of my stuff once I get that far. One thing that really sticks out about using minifigs for wargaming is the sheer periods covered by both factory and after-market stuff. It would take me FOREVER to paint all the figures for the periods I want to play. 8o

Thanks again.

I tried that with lead miniatures and the trouble is... staying focused is a REAL challenge. Especially with all the new sculpts and periods and scales hitting the market at any given time.

The good thing about using the mighty minifig is interchangeability and LOADS of customizable options. Actually... now that I think about that.. it could be as big a problem as lead wargaming is. =U
