I was just walking through our storeroom and found a loose Black Pauldron w/ Orange Print. I went to put it back in its bin - but I couldn't find one. They are out of stock. We have none.

This brings up a larger issue though. Even though I really like the color print on the Black Pauldron for Stormtroopers and such it seems a small population of our customers can't help but bend the Pauldron, causing the ink surface to develop cracks. Granted, when the Pauldron returns to normal shape, the cracks disappear. However, enough bending and twisting will take its toll and we receive complaints and demands for replacement.

This has led us to rethink the printing on the Pauldron. We plan on either discontinuing it or mold the Pauldron with less 'softening additive' making the ABS a bit more solid and less bendable. We are still considering which action to take - a lot of it depends on our fans and customers.

Is there not a more flexible printing material?

Nope...if the surface flexes, either the ink separates (and forms the cracks in between) or the ink flexes with the surface - to my knowledge such ink does not exist.

I think switch to hard plastic - they don't really need to be soft.
