Be the best out there, then you'll have a small chance of getting in.

I plan on training at Front Sight so that should make it a little easier to be the best. halo

"The Only Easy Day... was Yesterday."

The most important thing to remember is once you're in, you're in. You can't leave until your time is up. Well, you can, technically, leave, but that method usually involves, um, four ropes and some horses, mebbe a firing squad. :9

DtB - I would start running about 3-4 miles every other day... swim as much as possible... and knock out push-up, pull-ups and sit-ups everyday... adleast 50-60 at first and work up to 100+ a day.
You can start out with a 4-6 year contract in the Navy and if you make it through BUDs and the additional Seal training then you can re-enlist and get about 100k bonus for another 4-6 years. It takes over 2 years to become a Seal too just so you know... and depending on what type of sub you get on you'd be there for about 6 month tours. If you specialize in something like sniper school or medic you wouldnt get stuck on a sub... you'd do all ground work.

Everyone else... Thanks! I appreciate the support :D I'll stay in touch and maybe make a new thread and post some pictures and tell some "sea stories" along the way.

Thanx for the information D_N, I'll start running and training more and I think I want to be a sniper now... but 6 months on a sub might not be that bad. I'll be looking forward to those "sea stories" and updates from you. :D

Its as much physical as it is mental... You have to want it more so then the guy next to you and the guy next to him...

I would look for the book "Lone Survivor" the first few chapters are about his training... its a outstanding book! a little graphic but I'm sure your old enough to handle it.
