Thanks!

I've finished the greyscale of the second drawing ... hoping to add some color tinting to it tomorrow during lunch and breaks.

Did you use black watercolors or did you do some smudging for the hair?? And also do you work in photoshop or do you just draw them and then just scan it in? It looks GREAT :D

Thanks!

This is pencil, Dixon Ticonderoga.
Yes, I use a tortillian and a smudger (torts move the graphite, smudgers soften); these were hand done and then scanned in. It takes many careful layers to get the deeper blacks, but its worth it.
Being a 'realist' I always start with a sketch ... define it out ... add shading points and then go from there.

Here's the parts A & B from the second piece I'm doing ...

the last part - C will have a color tint to it ... at least that's the plan.

Enjoy!

YES! it went from "Wow mCs got some mad skill" to "Wow that shading couldn't be any better!" to the final color version and me looking at it... and being like "Whoa!" my shocked face... the Baby does it best from Etrade... have a look at the very end http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqVBKO_QM3o

Wow...just...wow. That is mind blowing mC. I love those two minifigs and this drawing captures them perfectly. Truly a beautiful piece.
Would you have any objections to me using this picture as my desktop or possibly the user icon on my laptop?
