Was curious if anyone has tried playing some brickquest with their minis. I'm a total closet nerd so I have not looked for anyone locally to play with. I have however run a few quick random scenarios, by myself, just to get a feel for the game mechanics. It is surprisingly a well balanced game.

I also just made a grided grassmat board because I've always wanted to experiment with realistic modeling stuff - brickquest was a good excuse to use a grassmat. Plus my son thinks it's fun to play with his legos on the "fuzzy" stuff.

It's kind of a d&d type game without the roleplaying. You chose one of three races - human, elf, dwarf - and one of four basic classes - fighter, rogue, wizard, or priest All classes break down into subclasses - dwarven paladin, human thief, elven ranger etc.

Yeah I can't get my wife to play it with me. She thinks it's looks neat but won't nerd-out with me. It's kinda hard to "dm" for yourself so I've tried using some d&d random dungeon scenarios and modifying them to fit the brickquest game rules.

Anyway, it looks like the answer to my original question is no.

Oh yeah. I've seen that before, the name just didn't register. I don't have anyone to play with, nor enough parts to build a dungeon, but it sounds super fun.

Maybe we could get a game together over the internet using webcams and something like Skype X)

Yeah I don't have enough 4x4 tiles to complete even one 32x32 room, so I made the grassmat. I'll snap a shot and post it up here. Plus I wanted to have out door battles instead of constantly having gray scenarios.

Here's an overhead shot.
Image

I purchased a 4 foot by 3 foot roll of the Woodland Scenics grassmat from the local hobby store and scratched the lines into the mat.

Here's a closeup of the fuzz-i-ness.

Here's some guys in play on the field. Total randomness - just threw some characters and elements on the board.

Hi there, I've got a dungeon built and play it with my local brick builders club. I am the dungeon master here, and it's a load of fun. We even converted it from castle to space, for the star wars nerds to enjoy a few rounds... I came up with some special rules for jedi and such. Turned out pretty cool. I/M me if you'd like to chat more...
