I just started reading those books. I bought the 3 Omnibus they had out. They all look awesome! I like the Dragoons best

Thanks! I wanted my good guys, especially the Dragoons, to look at least as intimidating as the bad guys in this setting... I was initially going to use the Greathelms, but they, unfortunately, don't work with the Battle Armor, so I decided to try the Gladiator Helmets and Masks... All in all, I like how it turned out.
I'm also glad SOMEBODY got the Goetrek & Felix references... Those are my favorite Black Library books, and one of my favorite fantasy series of all time (still can't beat Narnia or LoTR, though).... Ever since Goetrek Gurnisson and Felix Jaeger got sucked into Crapsack, er, post-Final War Earth, Goetrek has added several tanks, a couple of steam-powered mecha, a couple of Dementors and a Nazgûl (just to name a few) to the list of things he's slain. (Of course, with Sauron tapping into the raw powers of Chaos, he can just create a new Nazgûl from some random Chaos Warrior when one gets killed)...
Khopesh: Yes, those ARE the black Muskets that I recently ordered, but it seems that I need to order some more (I still have a few SOCom troops that need their "Cosmo Harqebusses")... Once the Ammo pouches are back in stock, I'll be making another order (I also just stumbled onto an awesome combo, i.e. the BrickForge Gladiator Masks actually work with the BrickArms Stalhelms, which will be perfect for the Army troops of one of the main antagonists in this setting.)
Fives & Minifigcharmed: Thanks for the compliments... FYI, my Sig-Fig uses the same torso, armor and helmet combo as a typical Samurai Officer, although that is a relatively recent update... Originally, I just used the Blue Samurai from the original Ninja series, but I just couldn't pass up the collectible Minifig Samurai, and decided to use them as Officers/Senior NCOs, which, ironically enough, is the exact opposite of the color scheme that the Federal Marine Corps uses (the enlisted/junior NCOs have red uniforms, while the Officers have blue ones)
As for the books I was referencing to, two of the figs in the Men At Arms division are characters from the
Goetrek & Felix series, which is set in the Warhammer universe... Goetrek Gurnisson is a Slayer, a disgraced dwarf who is seeking to redeem his honor by seeking death in combat against the biggest, meanest, nastiest monster he can find... 12 books later, he STILL hasn't found anything big, mean or nasty enough to defeat him. Felix Jaeger is his human travelling companion and a disgraced scholar who, during a drunken bender after Goetrek saved his life, swore an oath to record the slayer's doom for posterity... It's a really good series, and I reccomend you check it out.
BTW, that isn't the only shout-out I included... The
Cosmo Dragoons are a reference to a number of shared-universe anime/manga series by Leiji Matsumoto, namely "Galaxy Express 999", "The Harlock Saga", and "Queen Emeraldis".
...Oh, and the "Kimono Girl" in the most recent (series 4) collectible minifigures has inspired me to modify them into a Federal Republic of America version of the Kyoshi Warriors from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

(Basically they are a sub-unit in the Federal Samurai, much like Ninja Team 7)....
