I know its not lego, but it was too cool not to try.

Besides Jorge, I've also done Carter...

I'm doing some market research because I am thinking of customizing them and selling on ebay, but there aren't a lot of other custom megabloks 8o

Any constructive feedback is welcome. The lego guys are there just for reference in size and coolness ;9

I like 'em! I've actually purchased some halo megabloks myself. There might not be too many replies because most people have an unreasonable hate for megabloks. I was one of them. The point is, megabloks started because legos weren't available in america. Besides that, megabloks was the one with the guts to do halo while lego chose not to. Anyways, keep up the customs, they look great!

Uh, I don't think 'guts' had anything to do with it. Lego probably didn't want to do Halo because it is an M-rated game, and Lego tries to keep it clean and fun for all ages.

I was in the same boat. But I really like the halo figs and the posability of them. Is that a word? :)

I see the point about Lego not wanting to support the M-game, but from a customizer perspective, there seems to be a lot of interest for them on ebay..

thanks for your insight everyone :)

That's what I mean. Megabloks took the risk while lego stayed clean. I understand why lego did what they did but still feel disappointed.

Yes, Lego does not make product lines that are to old for some buyers. Though why TLC should make PoTC is beyond me...

Mm...I believe Lego didn't take up the Halo line because it is a wee bit too violent. Also, they already have the themes it would go into filled by Star wars and _insert various non licensed space brand here_.
PoTC fits into Lego's Pirate theme and or fantasy theme. Also, I believe Lego now also has a contract with Disney. PoTC is essentially taking the place of PoP.

@confuzzledapples: PoTC is actually a bit more violent than some other lines of theirs...

But it's owned by Disney, and TLC has a contract with Disney. So PotC gets made first. Megabloks got Halo's contract, because they wanted it, and Lego didn't because they have a no modern warfare policy; the closest they've gotten is with the army men from Toy Story, which was a licensed product.

I do like the MB halo stuff, considered buying some figure packs but I decided they were too expensive just to have; I don't really like MB or halo.

I like Carter better; I feel like the paint job is better on him.
