This contest will decide who is the greatest minifig artist of the BF forums! This is a round-robin style tournament, which means each competitor will go against every other one once. The number of rounds is dependent on how many people choose to enter.

You are free to use any medium, but it must be two-dimensional (ie, not an actual existing custom), and should make creative use custom items. Feel free to use your imagination and incorporate new and unusual pieces! You should use some sort of item that is not by TLG, but it doesn't have to exist in real life [as a custom piece] either.

You will have to create a new piece of art for each round, and each round will have a different theme. I will announce the themes after the first person has declared their intent. If we require more than 4 rounds, additional themes will be chosen.

The five themes are as follows:
1. Steampunk
2. Action Sports
3. Fantasy
4. Street Smart/Casual (Real-Life Like)
5. Music

Feel free to work on the next round's art whenever you like, but don't post them until the current round is over.

Winners of each match will be voted on by the BF public. You may not vote for yourself/the match you are in; votes will not be a poll, you will have to post your votes using the template below:

The winner will be the person who has won the most matches. If there is a tie, there will be an additional vote by poll.

I'm also revising the rules in the first post a little bit, so you don't have to incorporate a BF piece, but do need some sort of nifty custom item that is not LEGO (doesn't have to be real though).

Does the art have to be minifig related?

Yep, it needs to feature a minifig that goes with the theme listed.
