Ok my states Democrats are getting greedy again and are trying to implement a new taxation bill which will force retailers to charge California residents taxs, i'm curious if this will or will not affect shipments from BrickForge to California, not sure it will but never know:

We would be required to collect California sales tax on anyone in California making a purchase on our website. Sounds harmless, right? Not so....that means in addition to filing a yearly form for Ohio taxes, I'll have to file a second for California. Imagine if all 50 states enact such a law? I'll be too busy filling out IRS paperwork to make accessories!

problem is its not just Cali, New York and some other states are also bringing up similar bills and such, with states suffering budget shortfalls, they are now going after tax windfalls like internet taxation bills.

I'm checking more into it since I know some states even now have a similar bill when it comes to dealing with Amazon, but not sure how it will effect other internet sales.

meh as long as I can still buy stuff. I don't care if I am taxed.

I've been taxed here in Ohio... and its no big deal... just a couple bucks an order if that.

yeah well California has one of the highest sales taxs around at 10% so it will be felt.

Actually its Brown now trying to do it, the tax increase was to expire in a couple of months but now Brown wants to extend it for another 5 years.

I'm still not seeing how it is a big deal.
