What is that "Ninja" Sword?

I really hope I am posting this question in the correct place.

Anyway, while looking through the store at the bronze Battle Shield and the bronze Hoplite Helmet I noticed a ninja-looking minifig with a simple but interesting sword. It looks to me like it might be a Lego "cutlass" with the guard cut off. Could someone tell me what that sword is? Am I mistaken?

Yeah, it's the cutlass without the gaurd.

Thanks! Looks like I have some cutting to do. Any suggestions on how or (more importantly) what to use?

How: Carefully, What: box knife/ box razor, I have never had any luck cutting anything with an Xacto knife.

I did this too. I was going for a type of big knife for a zombie related thing i was doing. Might post it but probably not for a while.

Not in my case. I'm doing absolutely fine using the Xacto knife. It results some certain mistakes but I've cope up with it.
