That sounds much better! I hope you guys go through with this.
Your Elvis idea made me laugh
Yep, Oreo's idea of having him be a reporter is really great and will give it uniqueness if we decide to write this.
And yep, I couldn't resist cracking a joke about the "Elvis is alive, and so is Jimmy Hoffa(or buried under Giants Stadium)" cliche conspiracy.
Likely the final edit to the TEST:
(Title) in: (Area 51-ish title)
For years, people have speculated what goes on inside the highly secretive US government base known as Area 51. Ufologists have claimed that aliens are stored and examined here. Some say it is a highly-secretive weapons-making facility, where everything from nuclear weapons to weather control machines are experimented with. Still others claim it is the place where Majestic 12
, the founders of a future New World Order, plot to bring about their sinister plans. What really is going on inside the secretive base? Jack Ticks, professional journalist/reporter, aims to find out when his friend, Nathan Worthington, goes missing while trying to get inside the complex. With the help of his friends, James N. Makart and Joe H. Baskerville,
Jack plans on sneaking into the covert facility and seeing if the government is really up to something no good and if they abducted his friend. The complex is maximum security -- helicopters, patrol vehicles, tanks, battalions, plain clothes-men, and cameras. Before the three can make it through the Area 51 gauntlet of death, they'll need to assemble a team of experts, each a specialist in their own field, to help them accomplish their goal. Who knows if they are what they seem? They could only be in it for money, or worse, spies for Russia, China, or some other country.
I like the idea of working M12 into it... See the link in the TEST.
So, HK and Oreo: What are the story ideas that you like most? If we do adventurers/sci-fi/historical fiction/conspiracy/espionage, when should it be set? 1920's-30's-40's wouldn't work with a probable Area 51 story, and The Mummy, Johnny Thunder, and Indiana Jones kinda make that over-done. Indy 4 is set in the fifties. National Treasure is set in modern times. How 'bout the 90's, right before or after the collapse of the USSR?
