Greetings all, from Pittsburgh, PA! I'm fairly new to this LEGO thing...never had LEGO as a kid. My oldest son used to build with LEGO years ago, and I saved a little of his collection. I dug them out about 6 months ago and discovered that this would be a great hobby for me...sort of like putting together a puzzle or building a model kit (without painting or glueing!)

I am working on 4 themes: Emergency equipment, a Star Trek theme, Civil War and WWII. I usually purchase a kit, build it per it's instructions, then modify it to my own liking. I'm having a blast! Just discovered Brick Forge and placed my 1st order...can't wait to get it!

Been checking the posts here on this board and really like what I see...a LOT of talent here! Once I get a new computer, I hope to post some pix of my creations. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my new hobby, and seeing what you all have to offer! Take care!

Welcome to the BrickForge. It's really cool seeing an AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego) that lives about an hour away. You won't be disappointed with your BF order. Can't wait to see your creations on the forums.

Thanks for the welcome! About the only thing bad about living in the 'Burgh...there's no LEGO store!!! Oh well, I've ordered a lot of cool things online!
BTW...I just was notified that my BF order is on its way!!!

QBlade is right ... BF products are amazing, and as you've already seen the group of folks here are pretty cool too. The environment is awesome.

This is a cool site...I enjoy the wide array of topics and seeing what you all are creating with LEGO, as well as non-LEGO! I haven't received my 1st BF order yet, but am already planning my next order!
