Well, I'm holding off until I get my new BF package. ;)

I'll be finishing volume #1 of ANV by the end of the year. I still plan to do #2, but I've decided to interupt it with a different alternate history story.

Nova Rome

Try to figure out what it is. ;) I won't tell you unless you can't guess.

New Rome, it's either the rise of a new Roman empire at a later time, maybe even going into space, or what could've been if Rome rose from the Astatic ashes properly? -{:[

You should publish A Nation Divided, it would be an awesome book, and all the people who lack knowledge of the forums, and people who want a copy they can touch and read anywhere, like me, would buy it before you could say "Jefferson Davis on the money in his own wallet".

Hehe, ya never know...I might be a famous author some day...that's one of my ambitions. ;D

Well, good guesses which would make for some interesting reading, but actually, it's about the Roman discovery of the Americas during the reign of Octavian. They clash with the Native tribes and are actually fairly evenly-matched, considering that, unlike the Spaniards, they don't have gunpowder.

They'd need alot of ships to get enough Romans over, plus Romans had basatillias and such.... -{:[

That is really cool, I'd like to see Celt Auxiliary vs. Sioux.

Thanks, guys!

This idea occurred to me when I thought about the similarities between Romans and the Maya and Aztecs.

To tell you the truth, I was also inspired by a History Channel show that shows the Romans might actually have landed in South America. But in this story, they go north like the Vikings and Island hop to get to Acadia.

And you never know.... certain Roman colonists might want eventual freedom from the Empire.... No taxation by Octavian without representation. :D Or better yet, "We the People, of the Federated Republic of Nova Europa..." X)

Sounds very interesting!

Can't wait to see what you come up with for the details ... lots of color and culture between all of those brutal empires ;D

Concerning the story: As Jack Sparrow would say, "Change of plans, mate. Time to improvise. That there's the story of my life: improvised plans mixed in with a little making it up as I go."

Can ya guess what that means? :)

Mabye there is going to be a major change of events in the story? Like the CSA wanting to rejoin with the union?
