It looks more like oval instead of a circle in the centur pictures, but I geuss i'll just buy the two to try and re-create that effect. I was planning on getting a sheild and a centaur anyways

Most likely it's just the angle of the shield that creates that effect.

No. That is something Asterios wishes to have, and they -could- make it, but I just don't see it happening, seeing as how the LEGO viking shields suffice enough for it by far. It's a great waste to make it because of this, IMO, unless edited to differ, somehow.

pity some peoples memories are not so long.

also the viking shield is a 2 piece affair while BF's would be one piece, I made Roman shields out of LEGO parts years before BF made a Roman shield and that never stopped them.

viking shields would be cool. i never got any of the old sets so a flat shield would be nice. i know the new lego sparatan has one kinda but then i never can find any of those figs in a store anyway :~(
