Ok, here is what I got with your template. I made a slight change to the bottom and how the holes line up.

Thank you for putting it up here! I just tried it out myself, and it worked fairly well, but I think whatever you changed was a pretty good improvement, do you think you could put up how you edited it?

Ok, here is my version of your template:

image is a link to the orginal size, you need to download the original size for it to print correctly. size is 2.89 cm W x 3.56 cm H.

After doing that I had an idea to make a hood and cape from a single piece:

I am still working on the one piece, I'm not happy with how it looks in the back and want it to sit forward a little more. Basically I merged the hood template with the cape from the fantasy era evil wizard.
