I was planning to use this for a custom minifig, but due to my lack of time lately it's been lying around my desk for months, so I thought I'd at least post it here:

Apart from the Elven Blades, the build uses the following parts:
- Arm Mechanical, Exo-Force / Bionicle - http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=53989
- Bar 1L with Clip Mechanical Claw - http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=48729
- Plate, Modified 2 x 2 with Bar Frame Octagonal http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=30033

The whole thing is pretty robust and can hold quite a few bricks and/or minifigs on top (as long as the legs are balanced of course).

This is really cool !! I usually prefer fantasy over sci-fi, but I'm betting this looks even more awesome with silver and some metallic colored Lego parts.

Interesting I'll probably end up using this sometime, maybe when I get more elven blades. :)

I would totally do this if I had the right pieces.
