I was chatting with Armothe and he told me to check out the news and man I got the biggest laugh out of it. All I can say is if you leave feedback please please please be polite and let your advice be constructive instead of being blunt and that's how you stay out of the Faerie Catching group . Carry on.

This will hopefully stop people from just posting for ranks like I have done in the past. Poor you SM I hope that it is possible for you to return to normal, how undignified this must be!

Now I have a question, will the number of posts be anyway related to forum exclusives? I'm sorry if this has been asked before but maybe this will answer some questions, hopefully.

I would have to guess "no" on the post count being considered for exclusives. People are already padding their posts for an obsession with getting a higher count rank.

The core issue is simply anticipation. The ranking system is in no way intended for people to climb rapidly. We want people to stay awhile and contribute constructive thoughts. Some users are hell bent on posting just to obtain the next rank - which is not why a forum exists. I can sympathize because hey, who wants to be a Shop Sweep? No doubt the ranks are cool and there is a possibility of exclusives based on rank, however; I have not yet figured out how to link the forum to the store based on rank. Regardless, I'd hardly offer an exclusive to the 2 people that have managed to get to Wrought Lord, rather offer it to a larger group of faithful members like the Anvil Polishers.

The rules still apply and those who receive a warning for breaking them are eligible for Shame. In this case the title of Faerie Catcher was assigned to the violator in an attempt to say 'cool it'. Posting meaningless and unconstructive posts for the sake of obtaining a catchy icon under your name is not why these forums exist. Yes, we want to encourage people to post, but only if they have something worth saying.

Mind you that the Shame fits the reason for a strike and will usually never be the same for one person as it is another. In most cases it simply involves the removal of post counts. I was feeling extra creative today. No worries though - a strike is a warning and the effects of a warning wear off; although the strike remains on your record.
