It's a regular member acting as an unofficial moderator by correcting other members in a manner suggesting it's their business to do so.

It's fine when done as suggestion (ie "Hey, you probably shouldn't be doing that."), so you're fine. It's bad when you're acting like you're supposed to be doing it (like "Don't do that. It's against the rules. You'll get in trouble with the Mods.").
