I bought my first items today, and I decided to try them out. I put on one of the elven helmets, and it's a bit tight. And by a bit I mean that now it won't come off like a normal helmet... And I don't want to break it... How should I go about removing it?

Yeah, that happens a bit. Just grab the helmet putting your thumb/index finger over the side stud on both sides, and wiggle it side to side till it comes off.

It helps to twist it a little while your wiggling in it also.

Front to back works better IMO. Or try both.

Yeah, I put my finger under the back and wiggled. So an MOD can lock this now.
