for the record, looking through my collection, I have very little bley. The bley I do have is still on the set it came in too. so both would be nice, but I can understand the need to move onward... Sounds like a soap opera: Grey, you know I love you, but I do feel the need to see other people... Maybe I'll continue this in the meaningless thread.... yeah.

Lol.
Now, I look back, saberscorpion was more right, this time.

I think it would be a huge mistake to move on from gray, bley just doesn't have that great midieval look. By all means never ever move on from gray, please!

Bley = Bluish Grey

Around 2004 LEGO changed the tone for some of their colors, grey being one of them.
The earlier version has a more earthly tone, as opposed to the new one which has, like the name says, a slight blue touch.

Um...? Blay is available now... you can get gray or blay. Not all of the items yet, of course, but more items will be available in both colors in time.

BTW, in case anyone is wondering, besides gray (dark, light, and very light) being replaced with blay, brown was replaced "rown" (reddish brown). And the yellow minifigs in licensed sets were replaced with fleshies.. I hate fleshies. |U

I'm with you there, Dylan. The flesh colored elements are all wrong and Lego needs to get back to their roots.

Ya. Started with NBA only giving a license if LEGO would give the minifigs flesh colors, then they started doing it for all sets. After mixing brown and yellow, of course. >.>
