Hi, Does the handhold for the Goblin Shield run up and down or across sideways? I have some Mega Bloks goblin types whose wrists don't turn, so I need the hand grip to run up and down. This would be opposite of the Knight's shield handgrip (which I was able to cut and modify).

I hope this is the right place to post this, I have bought from Brickforge several times, but this is my first forum post.

Keep up the great work, your items are fantastic!

Mark

The handle on the goblin shield goes sideways. It allows minifigs to hold it horizontal with the spikes out but would be rather awkward for Megablok to hold it.

Oh Fiddlesticks! Thanks for the info Gecko.
Brickforge just saved me a lot of money I wish I could have spent. I have modified shield handles in the past but it's tedious and obviously not as strong.

I guess I can hope in the future the handles could be turned up and down.

Two questions:

Is there a need to have the handles run sideways for Lego minifigs?
Weren't some of the older Lego shields made with up/down handles?

Thanks,
Mark

Yea, I believe this style of shield has a vertical handle. And I think that having it like that does take away some of the options for a Lego fig holding it.

We really just mimicked the style of the Ovoid tower shield but your comments are worth considering. Being familiar with MegaBloks figs though I'm not sure we could accomodate a perfect solution.

Well then don't make it specifically for the MB figs. I think having a couple shields with vertical handles could be useful. Especially shapeless shields.

Perhaps, but a shield with a vertical handle won't stand flush to a minifig.

It will if you have them hold it by the top bar.

Stand flush? What does that mean, and do they have to?

I think it means when a minifig holds it like this.
