It's time to move onto bley... Even if they dont want to, everyone's going to end up building with bley, due to the fact that that the main gray at the moment.

I'm not happy with the switch, but I see that bley is the way of the future, and its probably best to go with bley, just because eventually old grey will be overwhelmed by bley.

I like both for different situations bot overall i agree with dylan, bley is going to match with the new parts.

I have to say go with Bley, unfortunately. TLC has changed, and they ain't gonna change back, so we're gonna have to move on with them. I personally don't mind bley, or grey. To be honest, I never even noticed the difference until I found all this stuff online to do with lego, with people complaining about it left, right and centre.

Bley.

Good-bye gray, we'll miss you so
But' it's time now, for you to go
It's time now, to move out gray
And say hello to the future: bley

Bley is the new gray.

Bley/blay is bluish gray. LEGO has been using this new shade of gray for several years now because it is brighter and more attractive (or so they think). This goes for light and dark gray. Brown has also changed shades slightly, and the new color is considered reddish-brown.

So that's why they changed it. 'Cause it's "colorful" and "more attractive." I wondered what their insentive was.

The LEGO Company lost the dye used for the original grey. As far as I know this was the only reason for the change. I assume reddish brown is the same thing, but I dunno.

Also, it's interesting that most people have the opposite opinion of me; I think bley looks more like metal and grey looks more like stone. Weird.
