So I've been playing as America in Civ 5. I'm in a duel mode (domination mode, large map), me on one continent, the Celts on another, with 10 random city-states thrown in. I decided to use this play-through to sharpen my skills at empire-building instead of constant warmongering, so I made it easy for the two civs to be isolated and apart to avoid combat for as long as possible. It's getting ridiculous
. I'm in the Atomic Era, and the Celts seem to be way back in the Middle Ages or Renaissance, and the year is like 1920 AD. I have about 15 fully-developed modern cities, almost all with ports, defenses, wonders, and railroads, while they have four wussy little villages. Watching their civilization advance is like watching paint dry.
I'm getting ready to mine for uranium, and if I have to, I will invade their pathetic little continent and take their uranium sources, and then let them stay alive until a certain point when I tire of the match and just outright start raining down nukes on everything (including the city-states) before claiming total victory.
Wow, I must have been a banana republic dictator in another life.
