So I've been playing as America in Civ 5. I'm in a duel mode (domination mode, large map), me on one continent, the Celts on another, with 10 random city-states thrown in. I decided to use this play-through to sharpen my skills at empire-building instead of constant warmongering, so I made it easy for the two civs to be isolated and apart to avoid combat for as long as possible. It's getting ridiculous. I'm in the Atomic Era, and the Celts seem to be way back in the Middle Ages or Renaissance, and the year is like 1920 AD. I have about 15 fully-developed modern cities, almost all with ports, defenses, wonders, and railroads, while they have four wussy little villages. Watching their civilization advance is like watching paint dry. |D I'm getting ready to mine for uranium, and if I have to, I will invade their pathetic little continent and take their uranium sources, and then let them stay alive until a certain point when I tire of the match and just outright start raining down nukes on everything (including the city-states) before claiming total victory.

Wow, I must have been a banana republic dictator in another life. ;9

@Napo: you conquering Napo you!

@Machetero: that's hilarious

Finally having a chance to play some of the new Tomb Raider, for more than a 1/2 hour. I'm really impressed with the story and the quality they have given Lara C. Good depth in the story, and a great mix between action n exploration. I'm pleasantly surprised.

I'm also almost finished with my Destiny Warlock; 2-3 more details, selection the perfect gun, and then I think I'm done.

Wow. I didn't know that people actually thought Insurance Fraud was hard in Saints Row 3 and 4. It was a lot harder in 1 and 2.

Edit: Wait what? There's Hello Kitty beer in Taiwan, and it's mixed with fruit juice? Who's even the target demographic? I know Hello Kitty is popular among all ages, but adding fruit juice just seems really weird.

@Mac: Well, just goes to prove that nothing is free from "adjustments" and "unique tastes".

Spent Saturday evening through Sunday evening with a horrible sinus headache and vertigo issues ... not too much, but thankfully better today. Woot.

Finally got my headers installed over this last weekend, took me and a friend about 7 hours total... And a lot of mountain dew. Lol. Totally worth it though! Looks and sounds amazing. Can definitely feel a little more torque too.
Just the front manifold, here's the old compared to the new.

Also this weekend, we replaced my brothers BMWs transmission, so he finally got that running again. Fun little car.

@Bio: if I lived near you ... and had a car I wanted 'improved' ... I'd hire you. You've done a great job with your car.

Why thank you :) Everything that's been done has been done by myself, sometimes with the help of a friend. I'm learning as I go, but so far it's gone pretty smoothly and I'm very happy with the results. There aren't many people with a 300hp grand prix where I live. Also get to work on my brothers and my friends' cars so I get a variety of challenges. My brother has an inline-6 BMW, which is pretty different then working on a V-type engine. Now I just want a V8... ;D

Still very much looking forward to Destiny, it looks so cool! Too bad it doesn't come out until next year.

What kind of work have you done on that? Or have you just done maintenance stuff?

Had to replace the transmission. Haven't done any performance mods yet, when he bought it it already came with quite a bit of upgrades.

Hmm, was hoping you could point me towards a place the carries BMW parts.

Part of the paint job I wish to eventually give my Ranchero, on an El Camino.
