My interview went well. I had a 2nd interview and I think they wanted to do the final one except they couldn't get a hold of one of my contacts. Pretty sure I am going to get hired :)

@MC - I do know someone with excellent skills that I'd ask once I had the photos done, but she seems to have a lot on her plate ;)

Quickblade: Glad to hear things are going fairly well for you.

My past two weeks have been a real rollercoaster ride.... Last Monday, my wife got pulled over because she let her state inspection expire and forgot to renew it. I took the next day off work to get it taken care of, but the local Mr. Tire tried to rip me off (they basically said that the car would need $2500 worth of work to pass inspection, but my father in law's trusted mechanic said it needed less than half the things they said needed done and only wanted about $350 for it). Needless to say, I'm reporting them to the State Attorney General's office for fraud.

On Friday, I got some rare exotic plants I ordered, and planted them, so that made me happy (three hardy true gingers and two of a new, super-hardy banana species that was recently discovered in northern Tibet), and my brother and his family came out to visit.

Then this morning, I had a splitting headache, which was bad enough to distract me while driving to work to the point that I didn't see a stop sign until the last minute, and rather than slam on the brakes and likley skid out of control into one of the houses right beside the road (it was pouring rain), I decided, since I could also see nobody else near the intersection, to just keep going and hope for the best, and that's about when I saw the cop car.... I was already pulling over before he even had his lights on. Thankfully, he only charged me with "failure to obey a traffic signal or device", which wouldn't give me any points on my license, and the fine is somewhat lower as well. He also wasn't a jerk about taking two hours to fill out the ticket, so I was only 5 minutes late for work (I called in while I was waiting to let them know what happened).

So I've been having a really crappy day. One good thing though is that my wife's new job at the Century Link tech support call center is going well, and her trainer told her last week that she was the best out her group of trainees and the he thought she might be able to be promoted within six months, so she quit her job at Voldemart, meaning we now can do stuff on the weekends.

In other news, here's what I got done on my Lego (and Kre-O) destroyer before I kinda got stumped as to what to do next:

...So I've been messing around with Minecraft again:

Too bad more of us don't play Minecraft. A BrickForge multiplayer server would be so cool.

Indeed, make our own cities ... fight the nasties ...

@Hikaro: Nice minecraft build!
and sorry for the 'bad day' issues.

@QBlade: hoping things finish out well for the jobs; a decent job today is hard to find for most of us.
The artist I know always has time do things for friends :o)

side note: marketing ... makes my intervert's head hurt ...
lol

@MinecraftServer: That would be so cool! I play Minecraft. My Dad would only let me play on the server if there were restrictions on language though...

@Hikaro: Nice castle! Mine hardly ever look that good. I've made a few nice things but not many.

@ Hikaro - Thanks, and good on ya to find positive things in negative situations.

I will have my 3rd interview tomorrow and by the sounds of it will be getting offered the job pending a drug test (guaranteed success). My wife's interview went very well also and I am expecting her to be offered the job shortly. She also waiting on a call back to set up an interview for a different job.

@MC - You might be hearing from me soon, as soon as the dust settles from all this current chaos.

@QB: Good luck on your interview!

On another note, I think it's time for a good old fashioned Piraka smack-down:

Thanks MC! I was rather upset when Lego discontinued Bionicle and replaced it with Hero Factory. In my opinion, Hero Factory went down the toilet from the moment it kicked off.

I still have around 80 Bionicle figures in my closet, and those are the ones that are still together. I must have around a hundred figures total...

it's a different angle of the Bionicle idea for sure. I bet x number of years from now they will be back; that is the TLC way.
