Yep. Most important things: make sure barrel is clean, make sure rounds eject, and make sure firing pin is clean.
If those aren't all there, you're gonna have a bad time.

Bad time as in hospital time. :9

You only need ear protection if you're at an indoor range. It's not necessary when firing outside. Unless you have sensitive ears or you're chicken.

I've stood next to cannons at the reenactments, with them going off in my ear. That... probably wasn't smart, was it? :9

Anyway, I saw this hilarious question on Yahoo Answers:

Quote:
I began drssing like a greaser because I wanted to attract the girls at school. I proved myself wrong. Nothing has happened for 5 years. All I've gotten is insults from Hip-Hop kids at school. Not only only insults, but rocks and fruit have been thrown at me.

xD

That is one of the funniest things I've ever read on there. Not to mention the insecurity level of someone asking Yahoo Answers if they should give up their individuality because someone on that site told them to. I do feel sorry for the kid's situation with the hip hoppers, though. :9

Man I hate hip hop.

For most firearms.. I've fired shotguns, 30.30's, and .223's no problem, but firing my friends .45 yesterday left one of my ears ringing for a while. Can't get hearing back, might as well protect it.

I'm sure it looks fine, actually. A lot of leather coats pretty much the same.

For all intents and purposes it only effects the sizing and the side that it buttons on. Men's coats in the US don't usually have quite the cut this does but European suits almost invariably do.

Anyway, gender dimorphism in clothing is almost entirely societal and largely a hindrance. Ask a girl about the pockets in their jeans sometime. I can't tell you how many times they've complained about how small their trouser pockets are while I'm sitting there in men's skinny jeans with a phone, wallet, multitool, keys, two tins for ID and other cards, chapstick, multiple pens and pencils...

IT'S A TRAP! Every girl I know has gone on a rather long rant about this at some point or another. And heaven help you if you ask a girl about this when she is around other girls...

But the buttons... are on the different side. This is important. Just like which way your belt goes.

I'm kidding. ;9

@Napo: Don't trash on hip-hop. You don't like it because you only listen to it on the radio, and they only play garbage. There's hip-hop out there with wonderful original music and lyrics with actual meaning and emotions behind them. Unfortunately those songs aren't successful in the mainstream, and it leads to people generalizing all hip hop as shallow garbage. People who think they're "gangsta" are extremely obnoxious though. Especially in rural communities where there's basically no such thing as a gang for a hundred miles in any direction.
