Hi there. This is our first post at brickforge...actually our first post anywhere to share our customized minifigs.

My 8 year old twin sons and I have recently started customizing lego minfigs. We bought Jared Burks book, and started with some simple water slide decals using designs kindly donated by people on flickr. We have moved on to modify decal designs, add custom plastic and cloth accessories, create flags and banners, painting parts, cutting and glue parts, and most recently, incorporate discarded bits from GW warhammer kits.

Please take a look at our LOTR customs. The movies never introduced the knights of dol amroth, which seems such a shame with their swan theme. Also, TLC hasn't provided any knights of gondor, nor that many elves, in their recent movie tie-in sets. We have tried to redress the balance. Lots of brickforge parts in these pics - our favorite accessories source.

PS - We have yet to see a really good custom gondor knight, either imagined or movie look-a-like. Some great decals out there which we have utilized in these customs, but the helmet never looks quite right. We are going to experiment with some small feathered wings from GW on the hoplite helmet to see if we can get something a little closer to the film.

Welcome to the forums!! Really cool minifigures and nice presentation. I had to add 2 of the pictures to the post because they look so good. I really like those flags. It's great to see some more versions of LOTR stuff that doesn't appear in the movies. Our very own Red Bean has made tons of LOTR decals years ago that you can find HERE. Looking forward to seeing more.

All these are fantastic but I absolutely love your knights of Dol Amroth! Would you mind if I messaged you a few questions regarding how you made them? I'm really new to customizing, and I would love to learn how you did a couple things. Either way, great work and thanks for sharing Bloke & Sons!
