@Legal stuff: I just sent an email to Lames's legal department saying that they can't own the term SM, as Robert Heinlein coined the term. It was in the early filter days, when I just realized the whole Powered Assault Commando thing wasn't just a really organized prank. I was pissed because LW stole my name. It has been 9 months since I sent that email, and I haven't gotten a reply yet. And no, I'm not an adult, I'm 15. Honestly, if it weren't for the people who need those jobs, I'd wish LW would fail, that people would wake up and realize their paying too much for a product from a company that couldn't care less about customers. If it were legal, I'd post some of the bull-crap redirects I got. When I finally got to legal, they basically old me 'If you aren't warning us about somebody else infringing on our copyrights, screw you'

@ Education classes dumbing it down - From what it sound like, the fault lies in the class trying to reach out to such a wide varieties, that in order to encompass them all, they go about it in a fashion that seems ridiculous. It's poor planning. On a related note, my daughter was is taking a class that is not only poor planing, but factually incorrect. The class is called Family and Consumer Sciences. My wife had been doing economic budgeting for years, and the math is f-ed up and even worse, there are opinion based answers that basically are saying that you have to achieve certain goals to be successful (ie having a degree).

@ Trademarks - I actually spent time last week looking up trademark and infringement laws that may or not involve BrickForge .... and found out how tough some of these laws can be. Without giving away any confidential info, I basically found out that in the particular area I was looking at, any consumer confusion as to who the rights holder of the trademark is can be deemed infringement. So while I agree that it is crap as to how some businesses work the laws, I understand the need to protect the trademark. It basically comes down to the lawyers and how aggressive they pursue the violators. I realize SM's point, but if the original guy who trademarked the name has not taken action against them or has sold the rights, there really is nothing else he can do. My reason I don't like Lames Workshop stems from my dislike of mixing fantasy and technology. What I think sucks is when someone trademarks a name with the major reason being so no one else can use it. That happens a lot in the wrestling industry. I'd be pretty angry if I was told I couldn't use the name Quickblade. That name actually does belong to a company that makes equipment for boats I think.

So, guys and gals, if I, you know, wanted to... ask a gal out... do think she'd accept if I look like this? My face is kind of wide and chubby, but also kind of thin... weird. And no comments about my Bruno Mars hair; I'm getting a haircut tomorrow anyway to tame the wild mane, or at least the back and sides.
