Class wasn't so bad.
Four hours of stuff I already knew followed by a 'test' in which the class was pretty much given the answers.

Also the instructor had a cammed Z06 corvette so he gets some bravo-alpha points from me.

What does "cammed" mean?

Means they replaced the stock camshaft with a different one, with higher lobes, to change the maximum opening and duration of the opening to add horsepower. Can usually tell by the way the car idles, it usually has a deeper tone with more rumble.

Exactly as it sounded. Speaking of various engine components, what changes compression ratios? Or is it multiple parts?

Piston heads, cranks, rods, all those factor a bit into compression ratios. I think there might be some other things I can't remember.

And? Everything has to start somewhere.

Lol, I'm just trying to figure out how that huge thing worked. I mean, how much wire could they stuff into that, anyway? I've seen other early TVs and the screen to box ratio is usually at least a little better than that. But that's a Nazi TV, so it probably has some kind of soldier in the bottom. :9

@Machetero: Believe it or not, I watched B&W TV sets when I was little. We had several. Yes, my family kept everything. :9

So apparently, my muscles just have a reflex to go for the neck when attacking something with a katana.
Seriously, I can aim for the center of a bottle, and I always end up hitting the bottle neck.

The upside to this is that I'm prepared in case I get ambushed by a patrol of soda bottles and cardboard.

@Napo: the 'casing' size of designs is a direct reflection to the 'component' sizes used in making them.
Back in the day, those used huge glass tube and large coils and more ... it's a miracle many of them actually worked.
