@MC: For marching band, we took 3rd place in our division at the University of Illinois State Championships! First time our school has ever placed at the state competition! We have a nice big trophy, and lots of good memories as well hahah. So in other words, everything's been awesome!

Well, as most people here are snow haters, I guess this isn't a big deal to them but, WOOHOOO, first probably permanent snow! WOOO!

In other news, busy High School is busy.

TSOL! TehSOuL of the forums **facepalm** yeah, I give up on puns. I went to High School, found out most high school females will only talk to me if they want academic help or are on something, and I had an adventure in the DMV! That's pretty sick abound getting 3rd in that marching band contest. My school doesn't have high school music, or shop because of budget cuts.

@SM: Yay! Snoooowwww! It's so purdy and nice. Unfortunately it's still summer weather here. I've had really good luck with girls lately, which is awesome, and I think it's just because I'm more self-confident around them. Cashiers who flirt FTW. I just make sure I'm uber-careful so I don't come off as a perv.

So, I'm reading through 1632 at a blinding pace. Gosh, I love this book. Since I used to live in West Virginia it's twice as good.

@SMarine: I like snow - from my window. I just tire of shoveling and driving in it. I also get tired of all the ice we end up because of it ...

I do believe my feelings on snow and cold weather in general are fairly well documented.

I told ya it was good.... I currently have everything in the series that has been published (except some of the Grantville Gazette stories that are only available in electronic form), and have read and thoroughly enjoyed them all.

TSOL: Well, I'm still working on buying that house I put an offer in for back in May... Currently being held up by the VA, but that should be settled no later than the second week of November. I also got married to my longtime girlfriend during August, so things are pretty good....

Anyways, I've begun work on modifying my Alien Conquest Earth Defense HQ into a mobile command center for the Airborne Demolitions Unit (ADU), a good-aligned mercenary faction in my setting... Basically the ADU was an elite unit in the North American Union army that was out in the middle of nowhere on the North Dakota/Saskatchewan border doing a routine counter-insurgency patrol when the anti-matter bombing that ended the Final War hit, and they managed to maintain unit cohesion during the first 10 years of chaos and confusion, and established themselves as essentially a group of knights-errant/heroes for hire among the more reputable wasteland city states...

I'll be posting pics of the command center along with my customized (mostly with the help of Brick Forge) ADU troopers sometime hopefully this weekend.

The command center sounds really cool, can't wait to see it!

It is about 50 degrees outside and raining and my boss had the frakking air conditioner on in this tiny office. As soon as he left I turned on the heat so I can get feeling back into my beat up hands.

@Hikaro: Can't wait to see the modifications to the Earth Defense HQ. I'm really kicking myself for not getting one when they were out.
