Quick! I need to hide those sugar glider pics from my wife, otherwise she'll want some.

Anyways, My wife and I finally got around to building the Earth Defense HQ Friday night, and it took us both about 2 hours. I'd have to say it is one of the best-designed LEGO sets "out of the box" that I've ever bought, but I'm still going to have to make a few modifications, though. One thing that will most definitely NOT be modified (and is the first time in at least 10 years I actually put stickers on any of my LEGO sets) is the Nate "Nnenn" Nielson memorial Vic Viper that was included with the set.
The fact that a massive global corporation actually was willing to memorialize one of their fallen fans in such a way is very touching to me, and is one of the reasons that LEGO is one of the few such massive global corporations that I actually support.
Finally, my wife and I went to the PA Renaissance Faire yesterday fully decked out in our Hogwarts outfits that we got at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. Even though we were the only ones there wearing Harry Potter themed outfits, there were quite a few fans (including one Slytherin lady who had the scarf working at ye olde blacksmith shoppe)...
I'll try to post pics either later today or tomorrow. Interestingly enough, I decided to get Hufflepuff robes and such when I was at Universal, and my wife recently discovered Pottermore, the official Harry Potter fan site, and when we both signed up and got sorted (took a quiz) I ended up in Hufflepuff, and my wife, despite wanting to be Griffindor, ended up in Ravenclaw...
Of course, the downside is that now my wife tends to hog up the computer desk (I have two computers, but due to lack of space, have them both hooked up to one keyboard, mouse and monitor) for hours brewing potions and dueling other wizards when I want to play Civ III or get on BrickForge or Eurobricks. :/ I really can't wait until we finally get our own house.
