Honestly, I wasn't even thinking about it until the end of my post. The Cincinnati LEGO Store is literally right up the street from me, something like a 10-15 minute drive.

I'm sure it's to my advantage to have the store so far away ... I'm much more selective when I buy online because I have to pay the shipping, etc. and want to be sure I don't have to 'go back' right away.

Finally got the modem fixed! Woohooo!

@Napo: Nice! Especially on the Weathertop. Between my rifle and money being pretty tight right now, I probably won't get any new Lego for a while, but, how's Weathertop for castle parts.

@Lego Stores: My closest is 5 hours away in Denver.

So, just for my own amusement I decided to see how many LEGO Stores are in the 6 hours away bubble. Turns out, its 9 of them. Now granted 4 alone are in the Chicago area but it's still a fairly impressive number and I wasn't aware there were that many so "close" to where I live. Seems my dream of going to as many/all the LEGO Stores in the US just got a bit more real.

EDIT: Whoops! I missed the Nashville store. That brings us up to 10 LEGO Stores in the 6 hour bubble from my place of residence.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked by the number myself. I knew about the three in Ohio and the one in Indianapolis. It was the one north of Detroit, and especially the one in Nashville that I didn't know were as close as they are. And why on Earth does the Detroit area have 4!?!?!

4 in Detroit?! The only thing that Detroit needs is martial law. :9

Weathertop is awesome for castle parts, especially plain grey microfigs for statues. :D

Whoops! I meant why on Earth does the Chicago area have 4. Guess I should proofread my posts better.

Wow... I think we've got Legoland Billund and a store in Copenhagen, which is terrible far away for me anyway. Rant time over ;)

Hahaha. Ha. Haha.
Yeah... I'm gonna pay $9 on one of those, when I can spend $10 and get enough paracord and buckles to make about 7 of them.

Wasted $4, gas, and about 2hrs going to watch my nephew's football team get crushed by kids that were supposed to be 13 yrs old. 4 of the players were bigger than the refs. I've always hated high school sports and this was a reminder. Got to have a nice father/daughter car trip up and back though.

Posted a LEGO stop animation video from 10 yrs ago that I mentored on in the Argent Awning Theatre :)
