First look at some Hobbit sets....well for me at least.

Check out Ginger Shark's and LEGO Toy Story News photostreams for the cool pictures of the new Hobbit Sets.

First thing I see is.....WARGS!!

And take a look this set. I was just talking about LEGO possibly making different colored leaves now that another third party vendor (Alt Bricks) is making different colored leaves.

Love the tree!!
Also, it'll be sweet having the variety of Elves.

Sweet maddening Cthulhu! I missed the new red color of leaves when I saw these a few minutes ago. Also, I'm quite excited for the Wargs as well.

I think those leaves are reddish brown and not dark red, but still... ;) A few things that excite me is the small set with Gollum and Bilbo, the Escape from Mirkwood Spiders set has some awesome figures and may not be that expensive, and the Wargs look fantastic. I noticed in the one set they made a new weapon mold fot the elves that is neat I suppose. Really loving the hair pieces in this line, just wish they were not flesh colored ears on the elf hair.

I'll have to re-read that book to my kids before Xmas.

Just read it in August! I'm pretty excited.

the Hobbit is a great story!

The Elven ears ... this ear style is also in the olive green and dark tan for the Orcs and Goblins in other LoTR sets.

So now we do have rideable wolves! Even if they don't look quite like normal wolves, still!

And awesome new leaves. I can just see the autumn landscapes folks could make with these. The mushrooms are nice too.

Bigger picture

Found this on CC. It's cool to see the minifig and their movie counterpart together. I love almost all of those torsos, and over half of the hair/beard pieces. I wonder of the beardless hair pieces will work with BF beards? That'd be pretty cool.

My favorites are Gloin, Balin, Bifur, and Bofur. I can already see the Hatfields and McCoys MOCs. :|~

The Wargs indicate a strong likelihood of a Two Towers set based on the Warg vs. Horse battle during the March to Helm's Deep, one of my favorite scenes. :D

The new tan leaves are actually currently available, in the Monster Fighters Wolfman set.

This is the set I'm most enthused about:
