Well the live action with the ODST fighting the brutes was about the soldier's tracking Chief's decent after he jumped form the forerunner ship. It's how they found him at the beginning of Halo 3. This one is sort of the same thing, only explaining what the Infinity is and easily leading into a reveal of some of the game play, since we've seen so little of that so far.

I geuss. Maybe it's just because it seems so much more clean than the other live-action trailers.

Also, the ad I was talking about was this one not Arms Race.

I've never seen that one. Probably because it's not in English. And I guess the new one is cleaner because at no point during the live action are they actually in war unlike the others. The front part starts at a peaceful time, and then ends with a surprise attack not actually ment to attack them, but take control of their ship.

Yeah, it's gonna be weird starting a Halo game in a peaceful time. That won't last long though.

The singing is in Welsh, and the DI is speaking Hungarian, it's supposed to signify human unity against the Covenant or something like that.

Unlicensed 80's Turkish "WarsStar" figures. |D Wow, those are pathetically hilarious. Definitely give you a chuckle.

Speaking of which, I picked up Aurra Sing and Cad Bane's figures at Wally's World today. :D Both are awesome. I wish Cad had bendable knees, but hey, ya can't have everything, especially not with all the accessories. And yes, I like Clone Wars. :9

That gives me:

FX-7
Darth Vader
Darth Maul
Cad Bane
Master Evan Piell
Mistress Yaddle (Yoda with long hair X) )
Jawa
Treadwell Droid
Sandtrooper
Mawhonic
Aurra Sing
Commander Deviss
Captain Fordo
ARC Trooper

Next on my list is Padme (if my flea market still has that one), the Podrace pack, and some Rebel Troopers. My collection is going along nicely. Anybody here collect Star Wars stuff?

Well you don't start in Peace time. Humanity and the Covenant are already enemies again by the time Cortana wakes Chief up. In fact, Covenant board the ship from the end of Halo 3 and an elite attacks the Chief.
That makes sense, but it's odd there's no official subtitles on the video, instead the video notes.

Well, now that I found a full version of the trailer and re-watched it. I think it'll be neat going up against multiple types of enemies in the same level, but those Promethean knights seem like they're going to be a pain. Hoping to see the Hunters and scarabs again, fights with them are always fun.

Maybe it's meant to seem more vague?

@My name: Yep, Napo, it is. And I agree, out of all the variations with I's, C's and so on, I got the coolest way of spelling Nikolaj: The Russian Badass Edition ;D
@Napo and Mac's story: that concept you posted, Napo, sounds slightly similar to the setting of The Edge Chronicles (espsecially the last (10th.?) book). I repeat, read them! Now!

That Gunner's console is a giant space calculator, LOL! Not collect, per say, but I still play with my SW figs from time to time, I never really had any opponents for G.I Joe in numbers to match up, so they have to fight the Grand Army of the Republic.

So would anyone be interested in a chatroom-based D&D campaign, I'd like to know for planning purposes, just step up and say so here if you are interested. :)

Can't boast of knowing any D&D rules, SMarine, but that does sound interesting. I might even go about and learn them if this gets going.

So here is my experiment tonight that must be done, but is just plain awful. Every night I work, I come home and about 5 mins after I lay down, I get an excruciating (thanks spell-check) pain in my one molar. Nights I do not work, I have no pain. So I've been thinking what different things it could be. I would take Ibuprofen some nights because the one job is tough on the back. No Ibuprofen on Fri and Sun and the pain was still there. Decided to not eat anything on Sun, still had pain. Sadly, the only thing I can think of is that it's the water. :? So tonight, no water from work either. This is gonna be rough for a 10 hour day, but if that fails, then I am out of ideas. You know how big of a <expletive> I will feel to say "I'm giving my two weeks notice because this place makes my tooth hurt".? Yea, I could go to the dentist and get it taken care of, but that involves money and well.....a dentist.
