I very much love that commercial (even more than the song's actual music video). And the ships are very covenant like...but all the units on the ground are actually robots (as evidenced when one of the human sized guys lets are dancing without a top and wires sticking out), so I've never actually thought of it as Haloy.

The ships and the helmets of the human-sized guys made me think of Halo. The visors on those ground units' helmets reminded me instantly of a Powered Assault Commando from Halo.

Maybe he was talking about the ODST or even the actual marines. even in that case, non of them are actually called Space marines. It's marines, ODST, and Spartans.
The helmets do actually remind me of the military police helmets in shape and the air assault helmet in visor size (but more rounded).

We calls them space marines on Brickforge cuz dats wut they are on Brickforge. :P

I sorta prefer Space Rangers to Space Marines.

Space rangers sound like next gen Power Rangers, come to think of it.
