Never have been or want to be home schooled. I am the person I am today because I go to public school. And I'm way too social of a person to have been home schooled.

Well, that's your learning and life style. Ours is different.

Public school's cool and all. A lot of funny stuff happens.

I homeschooled my kids until 6th grade, but made sure they had many ways to interact with the public and kids their ages. They've all been glad for the years of 'tough' education at home.

Remember, there are a lot of reason to or not homeschool ... let's be sure to 'agree to disagree' :o)

Kids are home schooled for various reasons. There are many pros and cons to each individual's situation. The best decision we ever made for our daughter was pulling her from public school. The best decision we ever made for most of the children in her school's safety was pulling her from public school. Yes I realize the severity of what I am implying and I tell you it is no joke when you watch your child be made to feel the way she was. Sometimes kids are kids, and sometimes kids just go too far too often. I would have preferred if she would have had a better time in public shcool, but it was not to be. Now we are all happier. The End.

I'm homeschooled, and I'm pretty much the most sociable person you'll ever meet. That's why I hate being stuck in the house all the time. The good thing about being homeschooled is that you get to pick the people you socialize with by picking different co-op classes (i.e. Speech, Debate, Latin, etc.). Trust me, being homeschooled does not mean you don't get to socialize. I laugh at people who are homeschooled and don't like to socialize unless it's with people on the computer they don't know, and that spend most of their time playing with kids toys and reading history books and talking about videogames and--

My reasons for being homeschooled are as follows. I hate teenage drama (which seems to be grotesquely prominent in highschool these days), I like spending time with my family (both my parents work from home) and my parents wanted me to grow up in a Christian home (which has proved to make me a far more mature person than I would be if I had been public schooled). I've been homeschooled my whole life and I'm completely socially comfortable.

It's a fact of life. Socialized homeschoolers are smarter and sexier.

I must agree. There's always the groups of kids who think they're hot sh*t and post there jersey shore drama on facebook. They're also generally drug users and bully everyone they think is a nerd.
