does the Powered Assault Commando visor fit on ordinary TLC helmets? If it does that is great, because it is in a shape i really really need for a minifigure....

The Powered Assault Commando Visors are a tad smaller than TLC visors and "snap" into the Powered Assault Commando Helmet.

So no, they won't work with standard lego helmets.
