My daughter's been looking at the Lego minifigs, but is disappointed that most of them seem to be boys. She actually burst into tears when she found out (from the Ninjago website) that the single female Ninjago wasn't actually a ninja, but was just a ninja's sister (she fights like one, so I don't know why they decided they had to point out her non-ninjaness). The ponytail offered by Brickforge looks more like something that would be worn by a savage barbarian or a half-orc punk than a girl. Any plans for a set of braids, or something else feminine?

yes LEGO has been lacking when it comes to good female sets, the problem is they build LEGO around Boys while they build specialty "Doll" sets for girls not realizing that girls also like LEGO too, in fact its one of my neices who likes LEGO more then all my other nephews, so LEGO needs to get on the ball.

^ And that's why we have BF.

I support this idea. :)

I would like to see BF make some female hair styles. There are no plans for them in the next few molds however. The problem we are facing right now is that LEGO is actually making quite a few new and different hair styles for the Collectible Minifigs and other sets. It wouldn't hurt LEGO to make a Service pack like they did in the past with just the new hair pieces like this:

You can get many hair pieces without going broke buying sets by searching BrickLink. If you are unaware of BrickLink, I have to warn you, it is very addictive ;9

It's near the point where there is more female hair than male. :P

...actually, I've been wanting some new male and androgynous hair styles for a while :s
I do love all the new female hairpieces lEGO has been churning out though. And the Dastan hair is amazing on any gender.

I'd like some more girl parts too. All the knights have to fight over one lady right now.

Oh yes! I love that one too. I wish it was easier to get in more colours though, I just have it in blonde... I would rather have black and/or brown. :s
