The hooded man stared down at the Scrabble board spread before him in the cold, flickering light. He knew he must escape, but how could he? His tile rack contained only five ‘E’s, a ‘Q’ and a ‘V’. Veeeeeq. That was exactly the sort of noise he felt like making now. There! An open ‘I’! “Qi”? No, a Chinese word might give them entirely the wrong idea. He might cheat though? Just this once? But them! The thought jolted him. They were watching too. The man licked his lips. Why had he been so thoughtless with his consonants? Did he honestly think that many brief words were better than a few hefty ones? Surely not! And yet it would seem so from the board. It must’ve been his nerves, he assured himself. If only he’d been in his right mind, then he would’ve formed a plan of action, chosen his words wisely...

I'm not gonna lie, I'm intrigued by this random bit of writing. Granted, this might be because I have been playing Words with Friends on Facebook and feel very similar more often then I care to admit. Will there be more to this?
