I must say, that's the first time I've ever seen a mallet used for lego construction.

not me, in fact they use mallets alot at LEGOlands and such.

I'm slightly confused, what are all the soccer plates being used for? Are you just raising the fort as a whole?

yes they were a very cheap way to raise the fort as a whole while keeping costs low, in fact only thing expensive about them was the shipping, since they averaged about .01 - .03 cents ea.

"Big Yellow Fort" seems to be a misnomer. I think MASSIVE Yellow Fort may be more fitting. As to the green undersection, is that a tunnel and if so, where is it going?

it is a tunnel one end will come out in a well while the other end comes out in a ravine, its essentially an escape tunnel.

This looks like a great size!! 4 32x32's x 4 32x 32's ... Nice!

Cool about the tunnel. i like your walls. I also like the staircases.
