The Prowler Patrol/Reconnaissance Vehicle is a versatile Dominion scout vehicle, boasting high acceleration and exceptional manoeuvrability. The vehicle is capable of a top speed of 40 m/s in ideal conditions, and can traverse rugged terrain that would be impassable for other vehicles. The Prowler's rear tray can be fitted with various types of equipment, but the most commonly installed module is the plasma repeater turntable, which is preferential for self-defence and taking out encroachers on the defensive perimeter.
Since the Prowler design process focused more on speed and manoeuvrability than durability, they tend to be more frail than most Dominion vehicles. Loss of armour panels and framework fractures are common amongst regularly driven Prowlers, and the electronics tend to dislodge and tear at connection points. Dominion officers insist that for those reasons, they not be used for actual combat, although they have seen battle in the past.
The plasma repeater can be replaced with a holding rig. The speed of the vehicle makes it ideal for supply runs to and from frontline positions, be it ammunition, medical supplies, rations or reinforcements. The setup allows for 1 cubic metre of storage space, for a maximum carry weight of 1.5 tonnes. Alternatively, the rear space can fit three passengers, or two fully equipped Troopers.
