So, I've looked and looked for the proper name for this weapon ... I'll correct the title once I find it again!

Used: pearl gold Katana (that came with the CS Ninja) and the Pharoah's Quest Golden Staff:

We cut the 'crown' off of the staff and used it for the Samurai's helmet.
Then cut the handle off of the katana - and super glued the blade to the staff.



It looks awesome, sorry for the blurry-ish pic.

That is one great looking weapon! I have tried and seen numerous ways of making that weapon, with various levels of success, but that may be the best looking I have seen yet. Also, the "proper name" for that type of weapon is either a naginata or a nagamaki.

The helmet crest (I beleive they are called maedate) looks good also. You have given me some great ideas for further diversifying my own samurai.

Yep, Naginata. Similar European weapons were called glaives. It would also be considered a subclass of polearm.
And a lovely polearm it is, too! Looks very good. But the staff topper as a kabuto crest is super cool and I admit that caught my eye first... that looks awesome!

Wow, everthing about this is awesome, the horse, the samurai, and the naginata. I think those were also called war scythes sometimes.
