Yes, I do realize that LEGO made one for their collectable minifigs, however I was thinking more along the lines of the so-called "pork pie" hat that used to be used by the US Navy, and still is used by just about every other navy in the world:

...although the dixie cup type hat would be nice, too.

I'd try that, but I'd probably bugger it up: I tried doing something similar to convert the LEGO firefighter's helmet into an Adrian helmet, and the results weren't pretty... :(

...Of course, the Officer's cap has a better demarcation between the brim and the rest of the hat, so I might just be able to pull it off...

I'll give it a try and post the results when my latest BF shipment arrives. ;) It would be nice, however, if the Officer's cap came in white (which is what I need for my project: white sailor caps).

You could always give them a good coat of Krylon Fusion.

...Or I could just mosey on over to the color request thread and/or sponsor this mold in white (although I'll have to wait on that... I'm over my LEGO budget for this month as it is). ;)

White is coming, although I believe we are attempting to put some sort of US Marines print on it. Not sure if we'll get plain white or not.

Badge/logo will be quite fine, as a matter of fact it will be perfect for some of the other uses I have for white officer's caps... If it doesn't suit for the sailor cap, there's always brasso. ;)
