Comments tl;dr most of it. I'd like a ram for dwarves. Also, like QB said, rideable wolves would be good too.

Yeah! Wolves and Rams would be awesome! I found the bear mount I made out of a polar bear... I'll have to post it sometime.

I do like the idea of more animals though. It's nice to see Lego sort of expanding their animals. Maybe some turtles? Everybody loves turtles.

I know K97 brought up the idea of a horse that appears to be running... which is a great idea. I would just like to see more mounts in general.

Lego has the horse, dragon (its actually a mount that they stand inside of) and skeleton horse... They also made the camel and elephant too... but thats about it for "real" animals. Then if you want to get into the SW line they have the Tauntaun, dewback, Kua (not sure if thats right ... but the Gungan creature) and the giant stupid lizard from Ep. 2. Thats all I can think of.

I would love to see a Bear mount! something for my dwarfs to ride on... and maybe something like a bird but larger then the ostrich for elfs... They could makes lions and tigers too. You could have a collisium with lions and tigers ready to eat your gladiators!

Just thought I would play off the mount idea that K97 had... Thanks |B

My idea? I think it is a Kadu.

I can't believe I haven't seen a bunch of "Ridable wolves" posted in this thread yet. In the past, people expressed a desire for them. I'd try to be more specific in exactly which ones you'd like to see in separate posts.

Consider this motion seconded: My Orcs (good and evil) need something to ride....

I'd also like to second the Chocobo idea as well.

We've definitely thought about such items. I think the main hangup is do we make animals as companions/scenery or do we make them to ride. A ridable animal/mount requires the animal to be fairly large so that the 1x2 cut-out still doesn't cause the rest of the animal to snap - that is the 'belly' of the animal has to be at least 4.5 plates tall. That really throws a wrench in things since I don't see goats or wolves being that large. HOWEVER, if we do make them that large - with the understanding that they are mounted animals then they are too large to be used normal scale.

Dilemma!

Also, with the Cow - a lot of ignorant LEGO enthusiasts wondered why in the world the Cow had a cut out of it. Such a customer base simply hasn't been introduced to these concepts. So here we are stuck making a proper-scale animal to be used universally, or scaling it up a bit to be used as a mount, which will only appeal to a much smaller group of people.

So this is sorta a tough idea to put through?

I think he also said that it wouldn't be properly scaled, or at least that's what I got out of it.
