Awesome, that would look cool invading the Collaborative Castle display at a convention. Are you going to make more until you have 300?

Also, I would love to see a picture showing that building in the background.

PS The formation is a Phalanx, With (front to back) older-middle-younger soldiers, usually longer than wider.

yes Phalanx's were usually 6 back with the troops behind pushing the troops in front forward.

According to my history books 8 ranks for Hoplites or 16 ranks for Pike armed troops would be more normal. Two NCOs per file and two senior soldiers as well.

Basic tactical unit a Syntagma of 256 men (16 x 16), but that could be split down to smaller sub-units.
