So, Mac and I were just playing Destiny and I'm feeling pretty awesome right now. We did the Strike mission that"s available in the beta, it's pretty intense normally. 'Course, normally you're supposed to have 3 players, but I've always had a person bail at the beginning. I had already played this mission once before, so I sorta knew what to expect. The game, though, decided I was having it too easy or something and decided to put me on hard mode. My HUD disappeared. Everything about my HUD disappeared.

Destiny normally looks something like this:

See the health bar, the ammo counts, the reticule? Gone. There's also enemy health bars, and indicators when your allies go down, and text cues telling you when you're close enough to revive them. Didn't have those either. You can also press a button to bring up your PDA AI buddy and you'll get a marker showing you where to go, not even that worked. That's right Mac, those 1 or 2 times I revived you, I wasn't sure whether I was reviving you, or just giving the tank an easy target. But we made it through with out a TPK!

It was actually pretty fun, I think a different game might be fun with that lack of a HUD, but it was too sharp a change from Destiny's usual gameplay.

I know some people like to do that with Battlefield and Arma.

Glad you guys were able to enjoy the beta!!
The game will be amazing, and as I was looking at gear ... BF's visors will be very useful in creating some of the helmets.

Check out my 'floor plan' for making a Destiny Sparrow. It will get upgrades, to make it closer to the game machine.

It's a nice beginning.

I think I'm going to buy a lab coat. I just, I just really want to wear a lab coat. Is that weird?

I don't think it's that weird.
@MC: The Sparrow is looking good so far.

@S133: thanks, I don't have all the pieces I need to make it proper, so I'll use this design and create it in the LDD ... and then work on obtaining the needed parts. :o)

edit:
I have the Sparrow built in the LDD, now to give it some sweet upgrades!
